in the Fort

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

There is a Flaming Undead Zombie Troll on the outside the keep. Glaive is dazed.

Roll a critical success in my Undead Knowledge for the Zombies. Hit location does not matter, its all about the damage. Kross will tell the others.

Kross, from the wall, fired 2 arrow with 2 hits, bring down 2 zombies that were attacking some of the keep guards.

With the others doing some damage, we are down to 6 of the 10 Zombies.

Jarlyn states that the previous turned Zombie Troll is walking back towards us.

The Zombie Trolls (one untouched and one some what flaming, with damaged leg and arm) are next to each other. Kross will fire 2 arrows for some damage.

The damaged Undead Troll picks up 2 undead goblin/orcs and chunks them into the keep.
Jarlyn spots the undamaged Undead Troll pick up the damaged one and chunks it into the keep, missing Ghoral (and breaking its leg).

Kross will fire 2 arrows at the Undead Troll outside the keep for some damage.

Kross will fire 2 arrows at the Undead Troll outside the keep for a little damage.

Kross will fire 2 arrows at the Undead Troll outside the keep, the Troll goes down.

The others have cleared out the keep’s courtyard of zombies.

<Note: 8 orc arrows used, was able to recover 4 of the arrows>

The battle is over, for now.

It is said that Ghoral was hit by something and was dazed. Kross was going to tackle Ghoral, to get him down on the ground, (with 2 Hero points used) this green ray barley missed him. We keep our head down.

A day passes where we recover and no attacks are done.

Night of the Undead.

Oct 2nd - 3rd

in the Fort

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

From the lighting strikes, there are bodies, some where between 5 - 15 dead for each strike.

Troll #1: Two hit for MAX damage to the head. (Used 2 AP arrows.)

Troll #1: Two hits, 4 and 6 damage to the head. (Used 2 normal arrows.) Glaive and Jarlyn did notice that part of the skull has caved in and is probably dead.

Troll #2: Hit the head for 6 damage and one crit roll to the head, that made the Troll dead.

We now have two Fire Arrows. Used one of the arrow. Got a good shot at the Siege Engine. The arrow hit inside it. There is smoke.
Will fire a 2nd arrow and hit inside again, in the same area.(2 Fire Arrows used)

The others say there are orc going inside/towards the Siege Engine.

Fired a arrow and hit a goblin in the chest. He goes down.
Fired a arrow and hit a orc in the vitals. He goes down.

It takes a few hours for the orc and goblins to regroup there forces.

It gets dark.

Some a digging is being done in the chapel. To get to the EVIL.

We are woken up by a request from Perrol. (After midnight at this time.)

Get to the wall and see undead in the courtyard.

Kross will move over to Perrol and have a look outside the keep. Seeing nothing (its dark outside.)

Will look for torches to throw outside the Fort. Get one thrown.

Tell other that Kross is getting oil to use with Fire Arrow vs Zombie Troll. Run to room to get from pack.

Kross will pick up the two flasks and the lamp. Threw one of the flasks, hit the chest of the one remaining Zombie Troll (the other one was turned). The oil covers it and flows down to a lit torch and now we have a Flaming Undead Zombie Troll. (Used 1 flask of oil.)

Our time in the keep.

Oct 2nd

in and around the Fort

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

The horses are striped and tied down, so they do not wander off. At low tied Kross will head back over to get the boat. On our side, Kross will spot a patrol of orcs on the opposite side. Will wait till the orc pass and head across the river.

Got to the wall and called up (so he would not get shot), Jarlyn calls back and said its ok to come up. Informs of the plan to bring the others over to the keep.

Ask about the boat. Told where it is and they will send a guy with Kross and Jarlyn to help find the boat. We find the spot and set off to get the others. We get the others and come back towards the keep. Our cargo is off loaded near the keep and all but the private and Kross will get out. They will row back and hide the boat again.

Caption Ullerson meets up with us. He takes us to the young lord.

We get to the lord and Perrol says there is something there, pointing right past and behind Kross (and to grab the cat). Kross does not seeing anything there, but knows that with his visiojarlynn, there could be something there. Both Perrol and Ghoral both get a hit. It devolves and Kross knows it to be ghosts (and from Jarlyn, EVIL).

Burne is from Thordar and they subscribe to the High Church (they can do priest magic).

Find out that the high priest died two weeks ago, about four days before the orc attack.

We are looking around the keep and are starting with the priest’s room.

Ahead, will see Perrol and Jarlyn look into the chapel, Perrol and Jarlyn are zoned out suddenly (mental damage) , with Jarlyn also throwing up.

Jarlyn is making plans to improve his mental defenses.

We go into the chapel.

Jarlyn detect evil underneath the chapel.

A inscription is found on the podium/alter that is in the chapel. It reads:

“Once set in a wall of black, now behind walls of white, the alter stone lies buried. The sacred place built around it.”

We search the library and find one scroll in a chest that’s different. It’s a map of keep called Stonegard and it has a black square in it. Kross notices that almost half of the foundation could cover same foundation. Kross also notices there may be an entrance on the cliff face.

We explore for the tunnel on the cliff face and we find what might be a set of stairs and then above it is a place in the cliff wall that has a crack. There are fresh orc prints going into it, i.e. within the last 24 hours

A night with shadows.

June 12

Late Night
(past Midnight)

The Game Master take the group a few steps back in the battle.
We will start at change and before the attack.

Continue of Round 1

* Segment 10
Eadon is changed by Ille into this black ooze creature.
(Find out its a Shadow).

* Segment 12
Glaive attacked and did some damage. Moved off to the side.
There is sudden darkness (done by the Shadow creature).
Being in the front, Perrol takes a hit with some stun damage.
Kross attacks Eadon (1/2 OCV -1 DCV), hits for 7 killing damage, will hear a thud/crunch from the leg hit.
Jarlyn makes LIGHT.
Ghoral moves up to the back of the group. Attacks and missed.
The brothers pop their head out of the door, looks around and then close the door.

Round 2

* Segment 3
The darkness is gone. The Shadow goes fuzzy/wavy.
* Segment 4
Jorlyn says that at this time only light or magic attacks will damage the Shadow. Will move behind the Shadow, his weapon will glow and miss.
Kross attacks Eadon (with Punch), hits for 3 killing damage across the chest.
* Segment 6
Skeletons come up stares and the Shadow looks to go solid.
* Segment 8
Kross attacks Eadon (with Punch), hits for 7 killing damage and brakes his arm.
Jorlyn hits the Shadow for a great hit.
Ghoral attacks a skeleton and splits it down the middle.
Perrol says he hears two doors slam.
The Shadow attacks Jorlyn with a head hit.
* Segment 9
The Shadow attacks Jorlyn again and misses (due 2 Hero Pts being used).
* Segment 12
The Shadow becomes intangible, moved in the hallway and does a presents attack on the people in the hallway.
With the Eadon, out of it, Kross kill him.
Jorlyn will recover.
A skeleton attacks Ghoral.
Will hear another door slam.

* Segment 3
Glaive misses a attack on the Shadow, while the Shadow goes defences.
* Segment 4
<Per by 6> The urn is still lit and is in the corner.
Kross will dump the urn out and stomp it out. The Skeletons will fall down.
Jarlyn heals himself.
* Segment 8
Perrol does a presents attack vs the Shadow.
Kross will hold his action.
Jorlyn goes up to the Shadow and misses.
Ghoral did a presents attack.
* Segment 9
The Shadow does a full out runs away from the group going down stares.

Will follow with Glaive, the Shadow.  See Skeletons bones on the ground. Will see it continue and run away outside. Will see only one body down stares (maybe the mother). We stop right outside the door, loosing

Combat over.

Will go up stairs and put on my full armor.

Battle of the dead.

June 11/12

Sundown/
Late Night

. . . . Perrol comes back to the table.

Will see the bereaved father heads upstairs.

The mercenary (Eadon) comes over, joins us. Said Ille (the bereaved father) has retired. From Tietha, heading to Ostmark. South East of Tietha, there is some Frog Men (Ran-tari) problems.

Note: Ran-tari live in the marshes, South East of Tietha.

Jarlyn told Eadon about our mission. Eadon thinks we may be guards and is nervice about this. Seamed relieved to find out we were not guards. Basically told what he did, seams line there is more to his story. Said he has traveled back and from Tietha. Asked if there would be any openings in three weeks. Said we do not know at this time. He tells of his stories, mostly full of hot air.

Stable boy comes back, the two girls perk up. Was told that the three youths have a brand on the left shoulder. Jarlyn asked Eadon about the marks. He does not know. The adults do not have them (from what we can see).

See Marten (drunkenly) get up and head up to bed.

The Lady Matron asks us if there any last min things needed, the youths are going to bed soon in the attic (via the latter next to our door). Said they are early riser.

We are going up stares to our room. Each take our time at watches. On Glaive’s shift (who has the 2nd to last shift): <failed roll to wake up> for the Spicy Flowerie smell.  Was woken up by some noise from in the attic. Hear some one(s) some down the latter. Five min later, will hear a continual female scream. Kross will get up and put on his armor.

A Battle Begins.

Kross will put on the chest part of the armor (9-12 areas)
We hear banging on the door, “Ille are you all right?”
Hear: Banging down stares.
Hear: Running down the hallway.

Perrol (from down stares) yells out “Careful, they have claws.”
Kross will string his bow, grab blunted quiver and head down stares (about half way there).
From Groral (up stares) we hear, “There are skeletons outside.” Hear some glass being broken.

Kross moved down into the main room and fired at one of the kids (with claws) and missed.

Kross dropped his bow and attacked with a Punch for 12 stun in the Leg of  kids (with claws, ie Attacker #3).
Jarlyn used magic and the kids (possessed) go down and now look normal.
Inn Keeper yells, “Dorthiea, Dorthiea. You have to help her!”
Note:
The possessed kids had savagely attacked her and gutted her before Kross got down stares. She is dead.

A lot of battling going on.

Ghoral is let in from outside and the door is re-bared. Skeletons scratch at the door.
Kross will grab his dropped bow and head up the stares to get a better look at what is outside. Get about half way there.

Kross will move to the up stares and look out the window and see 4 skeletons. Will fire the blunt arrow for a miss.

Perrol (from down stares) yells something about the smell may be a source of the problem.
From our room, Kross will drop the bow and grab his sword and head towards Ille’s door with Perrol.
Glaive came up the stares and open the door to Ille room and she sees Eadon guarding Ille wide eyed not sure what is going on. Glaive tries to talk to Eadon and point the problem to him. Eadon disputes this and says that it is her fault being Ulronai and we are trying to rob them. Perol give a nice speech, sounds like Eadon is giving up, his weapon drops to the floor. Eadon is changed by Ille into this black ooze creature. The creature did something so there is darkness all around us. Glaive gets attacked with a solid hit.

Will pick the game up on Segment 12 of the turn.
