Orc ambush on the road.

Vinny tells us that we have a bounty on our heads of a 100 GP done by the slavers (from down below). We may be visited by the Red Daggers. There main headquarters based Aarn, which is a main shipping hub.

We say our good byes. Vinny leaves.

We pick up some supply we need and call it a night.

We pack up and head out. Perrol hears Julien say “good luck with your mission” and Glaive see here.

We head out and go thru Athring (which is almost the midway point) on the way to Eisburk Castle (on the shore) which is our final destination.

There is 7 days of  travel to reach where we are now. (Did use 7 days of rations.)

As we are heading into town (on horse back), we are stopped and questioned on the reason for our visit. We are let thru and directed to the Brow Boar Inn.

Our houses are stabled and we head inside. We get two rooms with two beds that are adjoined. Warm bath is wanted by the group. (4 CP and 1 SP)

After all baths have been taken, we head down for food. The night passes.

With eating morning food, the hostess is going out, ask to pick up 7 days of rations for each of up. (7 SP each)

We head out and get a good 7 days of travel.

Two Orcs are spotted 50″ ahead. We stop at 40″. Kross strings his bow and fired.

Put +4 in OCV.

1st Shot (Bolt of Blasting): 20s 6b x 2
2nd Shot (Bolt of Blasting): 20s 6b and 18s 5b

1st Shot (Bolt of Blasting): 23s 7b and 22s 6b
2nd Shot (Stand Shot): 9 K to the Head

Kross (on horse) will move up 10 sq.

Kross will dismount and head left up a tree. Made search by 9 and spot all the orcs ahead.

Kross will fire two arrows at the orc that Perrol shot, killing him.

Kross will fire two arrows at the orc near Glaive for some damage.

Kross will fire two arrows at the same orc as last time killing him.

The only orc left makes a run for it. Kross will hit with a head shot, killing him.

These orc are the Gray Orc (less strong, more intelligent).

The game ends for the night.

Ambushed on the way.

Sept 16th

We now have a mission to investigate some missing men and some dealing with Orcs and Goblems.

We head to a place, not near the market, that is near the university for some spell ingredient for Glaive.

We are walking along a main road and we get attacked by bowmen (2 sets of 2 men). They mostly miss their target.

* Segment 12 (+2 DCV)
Kross will move out of the direct combat action. He heads off to his left and up the wall to the top of the building. He get a chance to look around and spots one off to his left and one to the right. Both are in cloak and are squat down.

With one of the archers de-handed, the two cloaked men spot Kross when they look around.

Kross hears a light whistle. Kross is attacked by the two cloaked guys, which pulled out a crossbow.

Kross takes some damage: Right Arm for 1 Body 2 Stun and Right Thighs 1 Body 1 Stun

Recovers: down 2 Body

* Segment 4 (+2 DCV)
Kross will pull out bow and strings it and fires a Bolt of Blasting at the cloaked guy (6 body/13 stun).

Kross will do a small move to look down the alley. Will see the alley blocked off a small of oil is around. Kross will fire a Bolt of Blasting for max people effect.

Fired the Bolt of Blasting at the seven archers: 24/7, 20/5, 19/6, 19/6, 18/5, 22/6 and16/5

There is a loud whistle and the five guys on the ground, turn around and retreats. The two standing archers run aways.

Kross fired a shot at the archer and hit in the Head for dead.

Kross will keep a eye out around the area.

Kross comes down from the roof for Jarlyn to heal for 5 body.

They are from the East Side Thieves Guild. Bounty is from Aarn for 100 GP.

The Vashturi Story

Perrol tells us a story:

Vashturi (“Steelflame”) is an ancient blade of proud lineage. Ulronai legend tells that it was given by the gods to Kynerion, a Tala?rion-Corum, in the early years of the Second Epoch. It happened that a great force of Orcs came upon Kynerion and his band of warriors. Though they fought fiercely and true, they were sore outnumbered, and one by one they fell before the strength and wicked might of the Orcs. At last only Kynerion, his sword shat- tered by the force of his enemies’ blows, remained alive, and he fled, seeking to escape the Orcs and bring word of them to those of his people who dwelt nearby. And as he fled he found himself riding beside a rapid, rock-strewn river.

Of a sudden he looked up, and saw that ahead of him, by the side of the river, there was a great stone, and seated on the stone was a man, or so Kynerion took him to be. He was dressed all in black robes, and his face was hidden by a hood. In his right hand he held a greatsword, its point resting on the stone.
“Ho, Kynerion! You are sore pressed,” the man in black said.
“Aye, I am, Grandfather, but what of it? Still I live, and while I live, my foes know the meaning of fear.”
“But you have no blade anymore.”
“With my bare hands I will kill them, if I must, but a blade true and strong would be the better yet. What of the one that you carry? Will you give it to me, or sell it?”
“Sell Vashturi?” the man asked, now speaking in Ulronai. Then Kynerion knew him for more than he appeared, for no one, would speak the Tongue of Ulro to him that was also Ulronai. “It is beyond whatever price you could pay.”
“I would give all that I have, to own such a blade,” Kynerion said.
“And still it would be beyond your price. Vashturi must be earned by one noble of heart, and bold of deed. But you have earned it, Son of Ulro. I see in your soul the valor of a warrior born and blessed to the True Path.”
“My thanks, Grandfather. I will treasure Vashturi always, and in no wise will I dishonor it.”
“That is good, for you will have need of Vashturi’s sharpness, and your own honor, in the days to come. But look you!” he said, pointing back the way Kynerion had come. “Your foe approaches.”
Kynerion turned to look, and saw the Orcs coming towards him on their tall horses. “Quickly, Grandfather, the sword!” he said, but received no response. Turning back, he saw that the man was gone, but Vashturi remained, stuck into the ground beside the stone. Grasping its hilt, he pulled it forth, and rode to meet his foe. And though eight Orcs surrounded him, one by one he slew them, and Vashturi’s blade was baptized in blood.

Sept 12th - 16th

We are practicing some new skills while Jarlyn heads off to the Mage Academy.

Jarlyn comes back and mentions that he was has been followed.

We decide that we are going to have lunch back at the in and Bob tags along.

We get there and have some food.

Perrol sings.

A Ulronai is spoted durring Perrol’s set. He comes over to the table and a feel of dislike comes over the group.
Perrol and Jarlyn do their checks and Kross can only tell by basic body language that they did not find anything negative about the Ulronai comming our way. 
Says Greeting, we offer him a chair. He carefully rearranges his weapons and haves a seat. Says his name is Deltarion.
Perrol says that he knows a story of  him. He shows off the sword, there are 3 runes on the cross bar. He displays the sword blade by half exposing the blade from the scabbard. Perrol tells us a story about the sword (see above post).

Night passes and Day breaks x 3 days.

At the end of the day, there is a message for us to meet up in the morning.

The next day we meet up with Julian. Says that her scout have not returned yet. She asked us to help her out and take up our old job, with the missing scouts and the problem with the Orcs and Goblems.

Sept 11th - 12th

Flash back: we find the out the Silvered Long Sword is related to the holy symbol (Godest Moon - Salea). We return it and get a single boon.

We are thinking about looking into the orc.

We walk into the Inn and see Mr. Miggins over at the corner table with 2 pitchers of beer (one empty and the other half empty). We are waved over to his table. Drunk happy. All but Ghoral go over. He orders 2 more pitcher of beer for us. He tosses a bag of gold onto the table. It is the 30 gold bounty for the guy in the Black Armor, which was part of the local Red Tallon. Mr. Miggins does mention that in ten day the locksmith building is going BOOM.

Perrol gets on stage and sings a few songs and does effect the croud durring the last song. Durring the song these two large guys come in and have a word with Mr. Miggins. Says after one more pitcher, he will leave. The two “guys” leave and after the pitcher is gone, so leave Mr. Miggins with a said goodbye. The mode livens up as Perrol continues to play.

Night passes.

As we walk towards the normal location, we see Bob sitting on the wall. He says hello. Says Chad was sealing the cursed city.
Glaive is wanting to learn some magic.
Kross was helping Perrol with his archery.
Perrol is wanting some history from Bob.
Ghoral is wanting some Martial Arts.
Kross is wanting to expand his current Martial Arts weapon usage.
Not sure what Jarlyn is doing

We are heading over to the temple.

Said the Underdark guy like to deal in children, due to their minds are easy to mold. Said to be centered around central western lands.

Night passed.

Perrol goes to market for armor.

We head over to the Palace.

We ask for the Lady in Waiting of Giroflee. We are take to Julian.

We are informed there has been attempts on the Regent Mother’s life.

The museme want to have a look at the paintings, ceramic mask and ewer.
The wizards want to have a look at the orc book.

Was offered a place to stay on the the grounds.

Ghoral see his brother.

We goto the Boar’s Head Inn for a room. (2SP each per night)

Night passes.

We see about picking our stuff up.

Sept 10th

We head back to the wizard’s office, he fiddles with a device and then says that it is now safe to talk. Julian is they with us.

They are surprised to hear of the gnome city, the dwarven keep and the Underdark.
We tell them that the disease is still there, but only on magiced items.

Kross will show the picture of the guy that teleported in. From Julian we find out that he is a follower of Kal-turak.

We tell them of the kids and some of the basic history of the people.

Asks about leader, inform of the Dwarf in black armor with a battle axe. Said that he was a Captain with the slavers. There was a bounty of 30 GP. Will show them the dented black armor.

Julian and the Wizard will ask to see the paintings.

We suddenly find Chad and Bob in the far corner behind the Wizard and the Priest.
They say they will be sealing the Gnome city. Say that the Dwarven Keep will no longer be needed to be maned. Asks Ghoral  to talk to his brother about sealing the Keep also. Will need a answer in 3 days.

They say the Gnome City is sealed at this time.

Chad says to Kross that he had a talk with my family and I do not have to worry about the marriage issue.

After all said and done, they disappear.

After we leave, Julian says we can talk tomorrow.

August 19th

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

The battle is over The orc are eather dead or has run off.

With the kids that are chain up, 3 are human (a boy and 2 girls) and a dwarven boy. Ghoral is able to calm down the dwarven boy a little while Jarlyn heals the kid.

We find some dented Plate Armor, a good dwarven ax and a pouch: 18gp with 3 keys.

While looking around, a loud crack and suddenly there is a handsome guy. He looks around at us and the dead orc. Jarlyn detects Evil and Perrol detects Magic. The guy reads Evil and mosly magic. The guy asks about the kids and disapears with a crack.

Kross reads the guy as showing sincere emotion and was amused with this situation.

We round up the group. As going back, we notice both sets of door cracked open. Kross will close the set that can be bolted from our side and towards the elevator.

We drop off the group and come back down to the room with the 3 chest. The third chest is opened and we find a lot of glass beads. We leave the stuff there and contunie to look around.

The secret door leads to a smelly room with skins and bones attached to the wall. Next we head off to explore some more, we find some more cells.

Near the elevator, we explore the hallway we left unexplored area.

At the end of a curved hallway, there is a secret hallway. We open it and find a Dwarven Armory.

In the Armory we find another secret door, that leads to a Dwarven Forge. We hear some banging of the forge. Ghoral looks in from the cracked door. He see two halflings. We open the door . . .

Fire two arrows and hit twice for a little stun. :-(

* Segment 4 (+1 OCV for the Bow)
Used a Bolt of Blasting for 29 Stun with 8 Killing damage. The Stun go thru and the middle guy drops and the other two look dazed.

There are 2 halflings there, chained together and the female dwarf chain to the forge.

From the female dwarf we find out that she was part of 15 dwarfs in this keep. A group went into the Underdark and did not come back. Says that there is a entrance/exit 15 miles west of this keep. She is Bridgit Ironfold. She is arming and armored up.

She points out the food storage area, she know that there are some orc there.

We finish them off. We find some meat (that is ok) and some spices.

We find 2 healing poitions (Kross and Ghoral take one).

The 20 days pass.

We give Crysten her 10gp (that we promise).

We debreff with Julian and the head wizard.

About 3 blocks away, Kross notices some light flashing off in the distance. It turn out the be some guy with a spyglass.
