We are 17 days into the trip.

What to do with the ship?

A trip into port is not a requirement at this time.

Kross is sticking with Glandslag. Glaive is on our ship guarding the others. Others are on the other ship.

A small percent of the other crew is evil.

It is pointed out there are 5 people in the water.
Kross will fire a Blast Arrow into the water. (8 Body Damage)
Will see 2 human will surface.
Kross will fire 2 arrows at the targets in the water. Killed one and wounded the another.

Kross will give his Gillyweed to Ghoral to use.

On the good ship and not see our people. Will jump to the other ship to cover our people.

Perrol come up to the surface ans yells out that he has been poisoned.

Kross will fly down, grab Perrol and bring him to the other ship. Glaive will call out to bring him over to her, where Glandslag will heal him.

Found out that some of the other crew were part of the The Silver Branch of Talarshand (assassin group, a step up from the Red Daggers).

There are two other assassins in the other ship. Kross is going to guard Glandslag, while the others are going on a hunting trip down in the other ship.

Glandslag suddenly looks over at the other ship and yells something. He books (out of combat run) towards the other ship. Kross will follow.

We get to the bottom of the ship to see something happen, not sure what it is. People are glowing. There are two bodies and a good amount of blood about the room.

Glandslag will go over to a large sword, pray, it will glow red hot. The ship will not catch on fire. Given time it will cool.
Glandslag will pass out. Kross will reach him in time, as he falls. (Decline to catch due to hatred).

A ship. Is near. Two days away.

[Seg 12] At 600m, a lighting bolt is fired at the ship. Missed.

[Seg 03] The ship moved closer. Another bolt is fired. It hit the ship and did some damage.

[Seg 12] We are in the 475m range.

[Seg 03] Will hold my action till Seg 04 to match Jarlyn speed.

[Seg 04] Kross will fire 2 sold hits on the mage and Jarlyn will move to cover Kross. At 455m.

[Seg 06] Another bolt is fired and missed. Kross holds his action.

[Seg 09] A bolt hits the small mass and knocks part of it down.

[Seg 04] Kross will fire 2 Blast arrow at the wall behind the ice wall doing 21s 5b, 20s 5b. It is heard that the 2nd mage is down and 4 other crew were taken down.

[Seg 08] Kross will fire 1 arrow and take down the person in the crow’s nest. Will see something drop from the crow’s nest.

[Seg 09] Kross went up into our crow’s nest.

[Seg 12] Both boats are touching. See that the mage is getting up. Kross will fire 1 AP arrow to bring down the mage again.

[Seg 03] Kross will look for a target. Spotted a leader type of the ship attack. Attacked and brought him down.

[Seg 08] We made a teamwork roll around Jarlyn. Kross will attack with fire 2 arrow with two hits and drops one of them.

[Seg 09] Kross will drop 2 people.

[Seg 12] Kross will help bring down one person. The ropes that are binding the ships are cut and the ship are slowly drifting apart with the others four of the group on it.

[Seg 03] Kross will jump down from the crow’s nest.

[Seg 06] Will spot Glandslag out on the deck with a arrow in his back. Will give him a healing potion to drink.

He will drink it and he fells much better. He still has the arrow in his back.

The others came back with the other ship with the crew disarmed.

Glandslag had the arrow removed by Jarlyn and he also healed 4 of the crew.

We are in the back of the bar room.

The three orcs are  there. One is outside turning people away. One in the middle of the bar and the leader is there at the table with the group.

There are 5 city guards. Three at the front of the bar. One of them is a Sargent that was there at the ship (with prev trouble) and some other higher up orc.

The orc are talking orcish.

We plan on taking Glandslag with covered wagon. Jarlyn and Glaive will plan on staying with Glandslag. Ghoral and Perrol will ride along. Kross will roof top jump following the group.

We load up the wagon and head out to the ship.

Kross will get stopped by a guard at one of the guards at a guard points. The issue is cleared up and Kross will continue. Will get to the ship with out any issues.

We get there, we load our guest and help with watches.

We need some Cure Poison Potions. Looking for 3 of them. Will cost 5GP each.

We have the nephew of the king.

We get the Cure Poison Potions at 14 gp 7 sp.

The ship gets on the way with out any issues.

Three days later Glandslag wakes up.

15 days into the trip . . . we get attacked.

A orc walks into the bar . . .

Character and players in the game tonight:

Glaive (Bob), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

At the inn while we are eating, the orc we are looking for, Glandslag, shows up.

This may not be the orc we are looking far.

Perrol and Jarlyn go over to meet this person and finds out that this is not Glandslag. It ends up that he is at a different table with two guards.

Perrol is talking to him about a hand off of guard duty.

The three guards leave and he with Perrol and Jarlyn come over to the table.

We need to get a message to the ship that we are leaving tomorrow, Glandslag will get up and head out to get one of the guards to delivery a message. Perrol, Jarlyn and Ghoral will go with Glandslag.

They will tell the ship that we will be heading over to the ship shortly.

Something happens outside with the others.

The others come back with Glandslag that  has a bolt in his ass.

(Seg 03) Kross will grab his bow, string it and look out side to see what I see. Will see people running about outside.

(Seg 06) Will have a arrow ready and hold the action.

(Seg 08) Glaive will point out that there is movement to Kross rear right. Kross will turn and look them over. Three “orc”, one up with dagger out, one up pulling a weapon and one staying sitting down. Kross will say NO in Trade Tongue.

(Seg 09) Jarlyn and Perrol will point out they are Evil and the one sitting down is magic. Kross will fire a arrow at the Evil Magic guy. Evil Magic guy fired a fire bolt of fire at Kross and missed (but hit someone behind him).

(Seg 12) At DCV 6, will fire 2 arrows at Evil Magic guy with a solid hit.

The Evil Magic guy books out of the bar.

(Seg 03) Will fire 2 arrows past the orc at the door and will drop him.

The orc at the door will beam the wizard, killing him in error.

(Seg 06) Will be looking around.

(Seg 09) DCV 8 - Will move to the door and look for the shooter that Perrol is pointing out. Spotted.

(Seg 12) DCV 8 - Will fire a arrow at the assassin and a solid hit. They pull back.

There is a Red Dagger tattoo on all 3 of our attackers.

The mage has two bracers, we remove them. Perrol doesn’t find anything of interest, except 3 gp, 8 sp, and 12 cp and a couple of copper small arrows engravend with arcane runes, piece of flint and steel tied together with small gold wire - spell components.

Looks like the only one of the other attacker is stable and will live.

The City Guard will show up and the game will end for the night.

The Job Interview

We are heading back to the Inn when 6 orc step out from behind a choke point and 9 show up behind us. They have small clubs and daggers. They say some thing, in orcish, but Perrol only understand two words “. . . filthy dwarf . . . “.

Kross looks to go up the wall and spot a orc with city colors (City Guard?) where he would go. He decides to go up the opposite wall and strings his bow. And waits for their action.

Jarlyn does something and they back off. After they clear off, will nod to the guard and jump down to the other.

We get back to the Inn with out further trouble. We got a letter that the terms were oked by the Cap. Night passes till lunch.

The group head off to ship. The others are doing some work, Kross is just hanging around.

We come back to the ship the next day.

A problem orc is pointed out.

Perrol breaks in song to do his magic. The orc is human.

We attack. Glaive stabs twice and he falls. He is dead.

Ghoral looks over the body and finds 2 pouches, one with a small mirror with some magic writing on it and the other pouch has 2 viles of red liquid (orc blood).

The City Guard show up for questions about the evil dead human.

They ask questions. We give answers. They leave.

Another day passes.

The orc we are looking for walks into the bar.

Issues at Sea

Nov 12th - Nov 22

The crew are getting ready for a possible fight (nothing major) that may happen in a few hours.

The caption has turned toward land. The two ships are catching up fast. It is estimated to catch up in about 45 min.

Kross will have his bow ready with fire arrows and bolts of blasting at the ready.

They are getting close. Kross will spot the mages on the other ships, near the caption.

The right most ship is lagging (900 - 1000 m) and the left ship (600 m) is pulling ahead.

They are 400 m away. At this range Kross will fire twice and hit the mage.

They are 350 m away. (Seg 3) At this range Kross will fire twice (the Ghost Arrow) and hit the mage and did nothing (proofed).

(Seg 04) A lighting bot hits Kross in the right hand for some damage.

(Seg 06) Fire 2 AP arrows, with one hit thru the shield and brings down his shield.

(Seg 08) The mage bring up the shield again.

(Seg 09) Fire 2 Normal arrows and do no damage.

(Seg 12) Perrol missed on the dispell magic hit. Kross fired 2 AP arrows and hit with the 2nd arrow. Kross gets knock out on his out (with post seg 12 recover).

We are 270 m from the other ships. Glaive will force a healing potion down Kross some healing, looking a little better. Ghoral hit the mage with the ship’s weapon, killing him.

(Seg 01) With recovery and Jarlyn’s healing, the body has healed and awake, but dazed.

(Seg 03) Kross will recover from being dazed.

(Seg 06) Kross will get up and ready to fire next round.

(Seg 09) At the Captain, will fired 2 normal arrows, with no damage.

(Seg 12) Fired 2 normal arrows, with one hit with a small amount of damage. (Used 1 Hero Pt.)

The two ships sails go down and the ships fall back out of sight.

We are thanked by the Captain and offered to refund any research done (get back 4 gp back. Offers to send a reward to a named person. We tell Julian aka The Lady In Waiting.

Perrol will do a search for magic. Nothing major was found.

Jarlyn did found 4 crew that show up as Evil.

The 10 days pass, we are pulling into the dock of Brelg, the capital of Thorndar.

We are wanted for customs building. Asked questions about the visit.

We head over to the Spear Boar Inn, we miss the guy by 4 days. We decide to say there in the Warmaster room.

With 3 days left we go back to the ship and talk to the First Mate about delaying them leaving two later with Jarlyn helping interview new crew as a possible delaying insensitive.

Jarlyn bought a book about a Tactics.

Looking to buy a ship or book passage.

34 gp for the passage and would cover the passage for the horse.

Will give a 24hr notice for trip.

We are looking for some books in the area.

The others find some books.

Julian shows up on day 2. We inform her about our schedule.

In 4 days we get the notice that the ship will be leaving in a day.

Day 5 , we are informed that there are a 3 person room, a 2 person room and a 1 person. Will use the 3 and 2 room for us and the 1 person room for storage.

We have some “issues” getting the horses onto the ship. Ghoral helps get them on board.

There is a knock on the cabin door across the hall. It is Heather. Perrol talk to her.

We are on our way.

Will be learning Tactics with Jarlyn. Will also be learning Cartographer and Navigation ( Marine) from the ship’s navigator for 4 GP.

50 days into the 60 day trip, 2 ships show up from afar. People look worried.

(I was gone last week, but the game went on.)

Kross went to a music concert (notes from Bob):

We take a coach.  As we approach the castle we don’t get in line with the other coaches but continue around to the side of the castle to a shorter line.  We are guided to the castle entrance by footmen.

We enter the main hall from the “commoner” entrance to avoid undue attention but we attract it just the same.  I hear some comments of “Ulronai” and less commonly, “Dwarf”.  There is music from a quartet and there are some people dancing.

A young man approached the group and looking right at me he asked if I would like to dance with his sister.  I agree and follow him to a group of several women.  He introduces one of the women as his sister Heather.  She looks to be of the middling merchant class and of average appearance.  We make small talk about the happenings in town while we have been away.  I ask her what her business is and she says it is transporting goods between here and Aarn and by sea.  I ask if she is acquainted with Mr. Miggins and do it poorly so that she frowns and says no.  We dance for the rest of the song.

After a time they start to set up for the performance by bringing out chairs.  There are not nearly enough chairs for all of the people in the room.  The first row is for the nobility.  There is a large gap and then priests and mages are seated then we are approached and are seated.  I notice that Heather is seated as well but behind us near the back.  We are seated in row three of the main section which consists of 8 rows with 10 in each row.  There is one row set off in the front for nobility.  We are told to stand and do so while the nobility comes in.  They sit and then we do.

Tiffany Lan comes out with a small harp.  she starts playing beautifully.  This is very unusual that I don’t know her.  I will make a point of trying to meet her later.  She sings a song about the origins of the world and the start of the war of the gods.  Everyone but Kross notices that she is singing in our native language.  I don’t think it is unusual until Ghoral leans over to me and says, “Isn’t it great that she is singing in Ghoralzod?”  I am shocked to hear this but don’t say anything.  I also notice that we are drawn into her emotions.  I do magesight and can’t see her aura over the glare of all the mages in front of me.  I have never seen anyone do the multiple languages trick and very few that can even draw us into emotions this way.

There is an intermission where we compare notes and find that she was singing in the home language and even using local god names for each listener’s native land.

She comes out after the intermission and sings about the fall of the Lord of the Graven Spear.  Once again she sings in each listener’s native language with native gods or other elements and uses the magical pull on emotions.  This lasts about 30 minutes.

After the performance she leaves and I expect the band to start playing again.  They balk at following such a performance.  Finally there is an announcement that there will be a 20 minute intermission.  I say that I’m going to try to meet the performer.  The group comes with me where I find a guard I recognize.  He is able to get a senior page who runs off and then Julienne appears.  I ask her if I can get a chance to see the performer, explaining that I have never seen anyone like her before.  Julienne says she hasn’t either but then is somewhat embarrassed to say that I can’t see her because they can’t find her.  I offer to help and she thanks me but says that they have people very familiar with the palace searching.

People start to leave.  Heather comes over.  I say that it’s a pleasure to see you again.  She says that she is leaving and I ask her last name and how to see her again.  She says her last name is Locklear.  I know from my streetwise that the Locklear family is slightly shady and has been known to occasionally partner with the Upright Man’s group.  In fact if they were to deal with any group that is more shady then it would be the Upright Man group.  We both know that I would know all this from her last name.  I ask whether I could come to see her sometime and she pauses then says, “Suuure.”  She leaves.  Shortly after we leave and return to the house.

We get back to the house and find our bed. Night passes.

A new day is here. This is the day we meet with Oldest Manis.

With Perrol, we find a Disguise Kit for him to purchase.

We head to the Sky Father temple. Perrol points out that there are now 4 guards on each entrance of the temple.

We are approached by Mythis and asked to wait for a bit in his office.

As we are going by Oldest Manis’ office, Kross hears a Female (music voice, Tiffany Lan, Bard), Male (pissed off voice, Bob) and Oldest Manis.

We are directed into OM’s office. We see –> OM = calm, Tiffany = normal, Bob = pissed off

OM wants to hide the stone.
OM asked about Jarlyn’s holy symbol. Requested and needed the holy symbol. Probable will not get it back.

Tiffany looks around around 20ish and the eyes match the age.

OM thanks us.

Bob call in the favor from the healing of the Regent Mother.

Goto Brelg, the capital of Thorndar.
At the Spear Boar Inn meet this orc called Glandslag.
Take his to Vatican City.

Tiffany offer rewards: for Kross, a quiver of special arrow, reusable, they looks insubstantial and go thru armor for direct damage

She kissed Ghoral on the head and she brighten up to blinding levels and she is gone.

Its the Goddess LanTiphone , Lady of the Arts (Music/Skill/Arts)

A little later, we go out to dinner at a inn where Perrol sings for some information.
Find out a few tidbits of info.

The next day . . . that night.

Mythis tells us the rock is on its way and pass on OM’s holy symbol.

OM is not expected to return.

Oct 13th - 14th

Spent 10 xp to raised Kross SPD from 3 to 4.

We meet Oldest Manis, thanks us for our help and leaves. We are left with Julian. She offers us a house (with some staff).

Next day, we go shopping.

Arrow supplies

  • AP Arrow: 1 gp per 10 - will get 25 arrows for 2 GP.
  • Normal Arrows: 4 sp per 10 - will get 2 sets for 20 arrows for 8 SP.

Kross got declined service in the magic stuff shop because his history.

As part of a package deal, paid 2 GP and 8 SP. Updated the Current Equipment list.

Will meet with Oldest Manis in two days and tonight will meet with Julian.

The Blue Men Group

Oct 6th - 13th

in the Fort

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

Afternoon time. We are glowing blue and we are running towards to big bad’s tent.

We get to the edge of the camp before we are spotted.

Battle begins.

Glaive runs by one orc, slices it open and it goes down.

Perrol fumbles his attack.

Kross will fire two Bolts of Blasting towards the feet of the two guards, knocking them down for a total of 20 orc. (Damage: 21 S 7 B and 15 S 5 B)
Ghoral ran by the orc and missed.
The orc looks around and runs away.

Two sets of two tent bodyguard move from the left and right of the tent.

Kross will fire off two arrows (that glow blue) at one of the orc tent bodyguard. I hit his hand turning it to ground beef and nailing him in the chest killing him.

Orc and goblin are coming around the tent from the left and right.

Kross will fire off the last Bolts of Blasting to a group off to the right of the tent. Knocking a group of 13 down. (Damage: 29 S 8 B) With a 2nd arrow hits one in the vitals, killing him.

With the group off to the right, the 7 orc/goblin run away.

Three shadow come out of the shield around the tent and come towards Perrol and Jarlyn.(Kross does not see this.)

(The blue glow gives us a 1d6 K added to the damage and 3 DCV to armor.)

Kross will notice the 5 orcs that were knocked out, look around and run away.

The tent flap will open and the biggest orc we have seen steps out and lets tent flap close. He is standing behind the shield. He says, “You will feel the wrath of Sungraig.”

Some skeletons are rising from the right.

Sungraig steps out from the shield. Kross will fire two arrows into the chest with max damage, killing him.

The necromancer steps out to show him to be the Lord Marshal.

We are able to get the shield down and killed Lord Marshal/necromance.
With displaying the heads of the Lord Marshal and Sungrai, the enemy desperses to the wind with out looking back.

We get the Stone and find it to be part of a alter.

We find 4 Gold 8 Silver

We eventually get the tablet out and call the ship back. We eventually get the tablet out and call the ship back. On the way back to Tietha we are intercepted by a warship that escorts us back. We are met by some Paladins from Favored of Kilbern and a couple Hellreavers. Aldus Manus and Julliene meet us. They take the stone to a temple. There is a discussion among the high priests in town. We find out that it was an alter from one of the red gods churches, Lord of the Graven Spears; extremely evil. Aldus Manus asks us what we need; we have time to think.
