Character and players in the game tonight:

With the secret door, Perrol does not hear anything. We open it and see a pit in a small room. At the botton of the 10 ft pit is a thunnel like the other. Kross will go down to see where it leads. It links up to some tunnels we have explored. Kross will check for tracks. Will find fresh track from the rock creatures. We take a different way to get there, when we are attacked by three rock creatures.

Kross will miss the attack.

Perrol finished off the last one.

Battle over

We continue onto the passage and find a room. Find some drie blood. Ghoral and Perrol follow it to find a empty room with a stinky dead rock creature. A chest is spotted. Perrol checks the chest for traps, finds none, opens it and finds two dark robes, two flasks of oil, 3 sunrods, two twigs (tinder twigs), a stone, a ceramic mask (gnome sad face), and a silver ring shaped like a serpent with two tiny gems for eyes, and a ewer (pitcher) adorned with dancing Dryads and moss agates. Jarlyn performs detect evil, finds none, and Perrol does detect magic and doesn’t find any. Ghoral thinks the mask is worth about 5 sp, the ring 25 sp, and the ewer 8 gp. The stone is a thunder stone, which are flash bangs (grenades). We keep everything but the robes.

We head back to the west side to explore the passages to see what we can find. We find a room with four trees in it. Perrol is able to tell that it is all a illusions. In the NE area a secret door is found on the east wall. We open it to find a hallway between the “D” and “R” doors to the room that we need to go in. Some noise of about 6 people is heard. We head back to the forest room, we get the “D” door (with out the key) open, Ghoral and Jarlyn both jump thru the door and get the shock of their lift taking little to no damage. As a test, Kross fires arrow thru the door with no problems.

On the other side of the “D” door, a room is found that has a pool of water that is being filled by face with a open mouth (which is found out to be another illusion). Perrol looks in the room and see thru the illusion. Just at that time a lare spider jumps out of the illusion and attacks Perrol.

Kross will fire and hit with some damage to it.

* Segment 4 (+1 DCV)
Kross will move into the room and fire a Bolt of Blasting into the center of the ceiling. Some webbing went out ward in the blast. The others said there were 2 others churps up above.
Kross is attacked twice, with one hit on him. Kross is entangled.

* Segment 8 (+1 DCV)
Kross tries to break free.
Jarlyn kills the mother spider.

* Segment 9
Kross is freed from the web by Glaive.

* Segment 12 (+1 DCV)
Kross fires a Bolt of Blasting into the center of the ceiling, knocking one down onto the floor. The other small spider is now easy to see. The fallen spider is killed.

* Segment 3
The last spider is killed.

The battle ends.

We find a pouch on the body with two gems and a stone, which is magical. Ghoral says it’s an ioun stone that grants magical powers to whomever holds it. He appraises the gems at ~10 gp each

The tracks that were missed.

Perrol steps to the secret door and listens. Hears 3 centipede of them behind.

Glaive and Jarlyn are in front, Kross in the back of the room Set to fire if needed. The secret door is opened.

* Segment 12 (K:+1 OCV)/(P:+1 DCV)
Kross will hold ready for attack.
Perrol will go defencive.
The centipede come in and head over to Glaive.
Glaive gets a hit on two centipede.
Kross will fire a arrow and hits one.
Ghoral moves up and kills one and Jarlyn kill one also, leaving one to miss attack on Glaive.

* Segment 03
The last bug is killed.

Combat is over.

From last time, the whole room is filled with magic and empty book cases.

Glaive, Jarlyn and Perrol step into the room to look around. Perrol finds a dug out passage in the back of the room. He steps into the passage and finds it clear. Sees a long passage.

Jarlyn find a secret passgage with a small room behind it.

A message is played:

I am Emistul, librarian of this fair city.  The scrolls you seek have been destroyed to keep you and others from fading into nothingness.  The curse of the fading began here, in these mystic halls, and here it will remain.  Be careful what you find, and mind whatever magic was wrought here.

There are current centipede and the rock people tracks were a few months old along with some Ork tracks (years old) and Dwarf tracks (5-10 yrs old).

Going back to Room 24 to have a look at the passage. A long dug out passage.

We head to Room 1 for Kross to look for tracks. Find nothing of note.

Kross will go back up to the entrance and find several dwarven type tracks with 1 or 2 being draged or forced down the stares to the secret door. The forced people are only going in and not out. The secret door is open, nothing is seen and Kross will move up look into the room. The tracks look to have brushed away by the creature. Kross hears something and is jerked back away from the room seeing the creature from before appear in the room.

Kross is pulled back and no action is taken.

Perrol will go defencive.

Jarlyn and Ghoral kill the creature.

Battle ends.

Kross will jump down into the pit to find Perrol droped lantern. Kross spots a possable secret passage on the east wall in the secret room off the stares.

Kross will spot the trigger for the secret door. Perrol say he heard something. Glaive can tell there people raddling around. We decide that not to trigger the door and look at the passage in Room 2.

Perrol will go with Ghoral and head down the passage from Room 2. They find a long passage that splits left and right. We check out the right and find a room that requires a “E” key. We head back and take the left passage to find a room with two normal passages and one other dug passage out. Perrol and Ghoral head back to the group with Perrol uphappy they can not explore any more.

We compair what they find out and find a coralation to the currrent map. We head thru Room 4, off to the left and up the stares to find a doors marketed “N” and “D”. We open the “N” door to find a room with a cage in the center of the room with a knome in it. Jarlyn and Perrol go over to the cage. Its Norm’s assistant, Garmip. Food is given to him and says that he has been feed today. Says they come from a secret door.

The chest is not a chest. Jarlyn and Ghoral move up to the chest and it sprout arms and opens it mouth.

Perrol will rell that the creature in a Mimic, a magic creature that mimics thing and normaly get a surprise attack.

Kross will use the Set option and keep a eye on the secret door.

Perrol moved up and missed the attack.

Kross will hold for the time.

The battle is over when Ghoral kills it.

The cage is unlocked and we have Garmip wait up stares.

Passages, Trap and Creatures

August 19th

A creature drops down from above:

* Segment 12  (+1 DCV)
Kross took 10 stun from a mental attack.
Kross can not tell what the creature is.
Kross moves up to the other platform and fires at the creature. Hits for a small amount of damage.
Glaive hit for a vital hit, it goes down, still alive and twitching.

* Segment 3
Glaive hits with two solid hits.
Ghoral hits doing sime damage.

* Segment 4
Perrol swings and choping off its beak, killing it.

Battle over.

Ghoral finds some shinny. Perrol feels no EVIL around and find two points of magic in the pile.

We find 24 silver in a pouch and 2 clear glass jars (green/healing? & orange)

See two doors ahead [in room 23].See a door labled “N” [room 25] and a door labled “I” [room 24]. We head over to the “N” door, Perrol use the key to open the door and steps in. There are three small spining wheels and one large loom. A secret door is spoted and opened. We see into a hallway with gears inprinted on the walls with a three inch wide holes in them.

Ghoral goes down the side hallway and trigger a trap where spikes come out from the three inch wide holes in the wall. Ghoral get spiked and took some damage. He will recover over some time. Glaive glides over to the room [room 29] and finds it empty.

Ghoral opens the secret door and we see four forges. In one of the quenching barrels we find the “I” key.

We double back to Room 23 and open the “I” door for Room 24. We see small desks. Maybe a school room. On the north wall we see a dug out tunnel and on the east wall, a secret door is found. It is opened and we see some magic mist.

Perrol steps in and looks around the room. Sees a bookcase.

We see four centipede get into the room before we close the door. One crawls up Ghoral’s leg. Glaive pulls one off Ghoral and Kross will slice into it for a little damage.

They moved and got under the skin of Ghoral’.

The dealing of traps.

August 19th

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Bob), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

We are resting. We start in a new day.

We head North to the “E” and the “N” doors. Ghoral uses the key for “E” and walks thru and get fired on. Ghoral spots a odd spot on the East wall of the “E” room. Jarlyn next walks thru the door and gets fired on. Perrol looks around and looks for magic. He does see magic around the door. Ghoral finds the latch and opens the door to a room with some weapon racks filled with only a few items. A idea was had to use two shield on eather side of the door, but when tried Glaive still took a fair amount of damage.

With the chest, it is locked with a big lock. Glaive gets the lock unlocked and we find:

2 sticks (Smoke Stick)
a stone (magiced)
a bag (a Tangle Foot bag)

We find and open another hidden door that leads to a small hallway. To the North there is a possable pit trap and South leads to a dead end. It is exampled and is found to lead to the main entrance room where Kross and Perrol are waiting.

In the chect, a secret compartment is found with a Wand in it

Jarlyn thinks that magic items that interact with the body, would find themself cursed.

We think the two sticks may be a Smoke Stick. The rock may be a Thunder Stone (like a flash/bank).

We think the non-magic items are safe. We take the bolts (Jarlyn takes), the Smoke Stick (Perrol and Glaive) and the Tangle Foot bag (Kross takes).

We find the trigger where a secret door opens over the pit. The door is opens out wards and is cracked currently. Kross will walk on the wall and push on the door and then come back across to end his turn on the ground.

Perrol jumps across to see what he see, finding a set of iron door (that open outwards), a door marked “N”, “U”, “E” and “R”. The “N” door is opened and Jarlyn walk thru it with out any problems.

The “E” door is opened, we see 4 beds and such in the room. Perrol walks in and gets flamed taking a fair amount of danage. Looks around and finds nothing. He recrosses back to next room.

Perrol hears a pattern to the hammer pounders, maybe artificial. Glaive picks the lock and it unlocks. Perrol walks thru the doors.

We come in, Kross checks out the tracks, they are a year old and are the creatures we have delt with in the past.

Perrol and Ghoral go up the stares on the right. A green blob falls from the ceiling on to Ghoral.

The games ends for the night.

Find stuff with J

August 18th

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Heath) and Kross (Heath)

We head over to the other door marked “J”. With Ghoral, Jarlyn, Glaive, Perrol and Kross for the walking order. Ghoral went to step in the room but spotted the pit in the floor and jumped over it. Spot a tunnel that looks like they were dug thru. Ghoral & Glaive go thru to find themselves in a room with the door marked “A”. They see a lever near the door and a odd section of the wall on the south wall. Perrol reviews the switch and does do find the lever traped. Perrol will pull down the lever and Perror will hear something on the other side of the wall. Perrol will go around and have a look. Will find some braces have extended in the trap. Will reset the trap and lock the trap to safety. With the spot on the South wall is pressed to revealed to a small closet (with nothing in it). There is a another dug passage in the East. We go, find a T section, head South. Find a split and we nead West to a room labled “U“. We see a section of the wall that looks adjar. The secret door leads to the door marked “R“. Looks to be a costume and prop room with 6 big wooden chests. Stuff is thrown about the room. We search the room and find nothing we were looking for. With heading out, Kross and Perrol hear something behind them. With Kross in the doorway, Kross will see something humanoid shaped with a wolf mask on (which we can see thru it).

 * Segment 12
Glaive will slide thru the door, sliding past Kross and doing some damage to the creature.
Perrol will also slide thru the door, sliding past Kross and doing a little damage to the creature.
Kross will drop the bow and pull out the sword and nailed the creature in the Vitals with some good damage.
Jarlyn will cast a Turn Undead and it had no effect.
Ghoral swings and embeds his weapon into the wall and falls on his ass.

* Segment 3
Ghoral will get up and pull a different weapon.
Glaive will slip by Ghoral to stand next to the creature.

* Segment 4
Perrol will hold.
Kross will pick his bow and stand off to the side.

*Segment 6
Glaive will move up to the creature. Disables the creature. Dead.

End of Combat.

Perrol: Uses MageSite, will look over the creature and find it glowing along with Ghoral. Ghoral will drink the Remove Cures Potion. Perrol will see the magic disapear.

We head up the stares and find a door marked “J” Will open and look thru . . . . will see a door marked “N“. We look around. A spot on the SouthWest wall. The door is triggered. Perrol will MageSite and fells that magic is all in the room. No evil is found in the area.

Glaive and Ghoral will go in the empty room and look around. Some invisible stuff in the room. Perrol will have a look in the room. Perrol will get a flash and see on east wall, something is leaning against the wall (like a painting) with a blanket (?) droped in front of it. Perrol will turn the item around and lean it back againt the wall. Glaive will try to take the item out of the room, but only get half way towards the door and find her hands empty. Perrol heard something brush along the floor. We are able to get the item and they appear now in solid form. First was a landscape, second is a fantasy shot, . . . we get a total of 6 painting in total. From what Kross can tell, a few are worth around 150 gp each. We drop off the paintings back to our storage room.

We go to explore the Western area that some passages ran thru. We find a room that has stares up to a throne with two pillers. Right before the passage splits left and right, there is a cherub face on the wall. There is a snooring knome on the throne. Perrol can tell the whole area is magical. Jarlyn does step up to the cherub face and it comes alive and asks for “your finest coin to talk to the king”. Feeds the face with a gold coin and it goes quiet. All but Kross go up to the throne. The king on the throne is a illusion. The king starts mumbling:

Betrayed we are by our own magic,
One by one, we fade away
Jadrizrune’s lost!  Oh how tragic!
We curse the vanishing day.

There is a compartment found in the armrest. Open to find:

9 gold coins
2 steel rods (marked as “N” and “E“)

We head over to one of the “E” doors to try out the door. Ghoral steps up, uses the key and flames shoot out. He steps thru and he heals up after a minute. We meet up at the home base room by going thru another path.

It has been a day and we rest up.

The odd things we see down below.

August 18th

Kross dropped the lantern and it went out.

* Segment 12
The action has started back up, Perrol walks up to some rubble, that looks like part of the pillor. We hear screech next to the piller.
Kross will move up and fire a arrow with a perfect shot in the stomach (looking like it is dead).

Some creatures come out of the rubble. Two of them attack Kross, with one hiting him in the head right hand for a little damage. (1 body damage)   [Used a Hero Point to move the location from the head]

* Segment 3
Glaive does a attack doing some damage to one of the undead creature.
Ghoral attacked and demolished the undead creature with one shot.

* Segment 4
Moved away for the action and fired a arrow, but as Kross pulled the arrow back, the arrow disintegrated (blinding him for the next turn, 0 OCV for range attacks and half for melee attacks).

Two of the creature attacked Kross, doing a little damage (1 body damage).
One of the creature attacked Jarlyn, doing no damage.

* Segment 6
Glaive does a double attack doing some damage to one of the creature.
Ghoral attacked and demolished the undead creature with one shot.

* Segment 8
Kross will go into dodge mode, being the center of attention.
Jarlyn attacked the creature in front of him, making it screech. Both of the creature runs away.

Battle over. (Took 2 body damage.)

Perrol finds something shinny. A box with elven script on it. He opens it to find a music box with a key in it. From Ghoral, the box is worth 15 to 20 gold.

Kross is looking around the room for tracks. Did find some small size prints, but not the larger sized we are looking for.

We are looking westward down the hallway, seeing some flickering light that look like torches. Looking eastward, some stares that lead into darkness.

We head westward and find a lit room with a wooden stage on the left. A gnome in a bear costume comes out on stage. Its a magiced show. Kross spots a trap door on the stage.

The door goes down under the stage. Perrol decides to goes down into the trap door. He yells “something is moving”. We see a tentacle move under him and one grabs the metal ring.

* Segment 12
A tentacle comes out and grabs around Ghoral.
Kross is holding off on his attack. The trap door is closed.

Battle ends.

The tentacle thing is making some noise.

The others are move back to the stage, open the trap door and Ghoral jumps down and see the creature. Then he kills it. Kross is not sure what it is. It has 10 ft arms and legs.

A chest is found with a cloak, a wond and a metal rod with the “J” rune on it. All but the rod are magic.

Ghoral put on the cloak. Perrol looks at Ghoral with the cloak. Sees that Ghoral stars to glows a little like a magic item.
There is a story that this city had a plague that was caused my magic.

We go back to the first room with the first “J” door. The key is used and the door opened. Not much is found.

To go underground

August 17th - 18th

Character and players in the game tonight:
Glaive (Janielle), Ghoral (Bill), Jarlyn (Dennis), Perrol (Bob) and Kross (Heath)

We are moving the food over to the lockable store room. [Kross will keep the key.]

With some of the lamp oil, will break it down to a smaller container. Will also pack a small set of firewood.

We are planing on doing something to the secret door aftter we head down. We set up two different sets of markers to tell if the door was opened.

Ghoral says there are some giggling, leaves rustling and birds chirping. We are heading down.

Ghoral see a 30 x 30 room with some metal faces all around the room. We find a torch sconce that looks like some kind of switch. A lantern is lit and the torch sconces is examaned. (counter clock way looks to be bad) The sconces is turned clock ways and secret doors opens to a  empty 10 x 20 room. Perrol goes in and looks around and falls into pit. (Its a bad thing)

* Segment 12
Kross will light a lantern while the others work on getting Perrol out of the pit.
Perrol is pulled out of the pit.
The sludge is comming out of the pit.

* Segment 4
Moved over to the sconces and and turn it back to the normal postion. With being Overly Cautious, Kross did not turn it all the way. Glaive steps up corrects the position, it CLICKS and the door closes right before the creature gets to the door.

Battle Ends.

Ghoral moves to the center of the room and is able to see the end of the hallway and sees a large door with a large gear on it.
With everyone in the room, a voice in Trade Tongue welcomes us to Jidazrune. The voice says:

Welcome to Jidazrune.  Behold the wonder!
But beware, ye who seek to plunder.
Traps abound and guardians peer,
Beyond every corner, behind every gear.

We see, in this room, two large doors with a large gears on it.

The door marked with the Dwarven symbol for the letter “A” is stuck open by a rock. Perrol looks inside and sees rubble everywhere in the room, a metal rod with a gold tip in the center in the room, and there is a small tunnel against back wall. There are also lots of cobwebs in the room as well as a dozen small cots and chests. We were able to find out the “A” door is traped. Also see that the “J” door is also traped.

We move towards the hallway and see clearly a large door with a large gear on it, marked with a “Z” on it. There is a hallway to the left and right with the same type of door with letters above the door. To the right the hallway ends in a wall after ~50 ft and there are four doors with letters “D”, “I”, “N”, and “E”. Perrol does detect magic and determines that all are magical.

With Ghoral walking down the left hall, a pit open below Ghoral and just in time he is able to jump back, avoiding the spike trap. There is a creature dead in the trap. Kross is able to tell that the creature is humaniod about the size of a dwarf and it has natural concealment for hiding in the underground.

Ghoral jumps across the pit and sees the the other two doors have the letters “R” and “A”. The passage ahead looks like a dead end, but after some review, it is found out to be a illusion. Going thru the illusion, we find a room with two doors that have letters “Z” and “E” on them. With the two doors, Glaive is able to pick the lock, but could not disarm the trap set on the door. If the door is completely opened, it will set off the trap. We decline to set off the traps and head back to the first room for the gold colored tiped rod.

From what he recalls from before, Kross is able to tell that some piles of rubble are not there anymore. From what Kross saw in the pit, it was probabley these humaniod creatures. Perrol hears a sound of faint snoring coming from the tunnels.

The gold-ish rod does not help with the locks on the door.

We go thru the small tunnel, find one set of tunnel that shows a bright light. We head towards that light and find a large room with some large pillers that are shaped like gnomes standing on their sholders. A spot at one of the pillers looks like that creature.

The game ends for the night.

Ready. Set. Go underground.

August 17th - 18th

We get back to the inn with no troubles. We set up normal shift for the night.

* Segment 12
Durring Ghoral shift, Kross wakes up and hear Perrol yelling about the Spector attacking.

*Segment 4
Kross is 3 hexes away, will grab his weapon and wait.

* Segment 6
The lights go off. Darkness is all around.

* Segment 8
The darkness disapears and the Spector is disapearing, leaving the weapon on the ground.

The battle ends.

With KS: Undead, Kross recalls that if any living creature that touches the undead weapon, it will cruble into dust. Kross will go over to the weapon and touch it, saying “Done”.

We have morning meal and pay off our bill. (Pay our outstanding bill of 4 SP each.) [-4SP]

We leave and head off to the temple, on the left on the building top a person is spotted with a crossbow. Kross will go off to the left and head over one extra block and then head up to the top of a building with his bow and a blunted arrow. Kross will conseal himself by 8. Will get a head shot and he goes down. Will get up and look around and go over to the guy, finding him unconscious. Will tie him up, drop the crossbow over the side and pick him up and take him over the side down to the others. Will search the body and find a Red Dagger tattoo and two potions (one healing wounds and a cure poison). We will drop off the guy off at the guard loaction. Kross will hold onto the crossbow and the two caped leather wraped bolts.

We contunie onto the temple to see a priest of Hospin. We inform them of the trip down below. We are given some potions:

We head over to Bob and Chad. We do not find them.

We head over the Locksmith location of the entrance to the underground. We go inside to meet up with the other. There are 35 days worth of rations for 5 people available for when they have to be quarantine for 20 days.

They offer  the following:

  • Climbing Kits
  • Lanters and oil for it.
  • 3 sets of throwing knives.
  • 2 sets of lock picks
  • some crossbow bolts and arrows
  • info on the language of the underdark
  • First aid supplies

We go in and they rased the shield.

Questions of Gifts

August 17th

(Kross has recovered and is back to normal.)

There is  a knock on the door, “Is everything alright?”. We confirm that it is.

The night passes with out issue.

We head down stares for our morning food. After we eat, we head out to the temple district.

We were just about there when Perrol takes a arrow/bolt from the rear and goes down taking 42 stun.

With Perrol down, Kross will head towards a alley and up to the roof to have a look around.

* Segment 4 (+1 OCV)
Looking around and not seeing where the shot came from.

The area looks clear, no sign of the attacker. <This was a hit and run attack.>

Battle Over

The bolt is picked up for later reference. (Later at the potion shop.)

We head to the temple of Aladan and find out the following:

They are refered to as Guild Masters. Yanna has the contacts, both the legal and the illegal ones. There are second ring of lieutenant, mainly in local city as a contact for that area. The four are the public faces of the group. The teleporting could be item based.

We head to the Temple of Varidon and find out the following from Coriries Gellantara:

We head back to the Inn and find a dinner invation for tonight at the palace. We get dressed up and bring small weapons. Kross was able to tell that we are being tailed by one of Julienne’s people. We get to the gates with no problems. We get two privates to escort us to the palace. We go thru the service entrance to bypass the nondowells. . . .  nice dinner, others are also being honored.
